THE LITTLE CHRISTMAS POST OFFICE

Christmas Mini Session Guide

Congratulations on securing your little one's place at The Little Christmas Post Office!

I'm so excited to welcome you into our little Christmas world this year. This guide will help you prepare for your visit, so your family can relax and enjoy the magic while we capture some beautiful memories.

This year's sessions are all about slowing down, enjoying the little moments and creating a collection of photographs that tell the story of your child's visit to the North Pole.

STUDIO ADDRESS

626 Springs Road, Prebbleton

Please note that the entrance is on Trents Road. There is a wooden sign on the corner to show you where to turn, along with a little swing sign at the entrance.

You can drive right up onto the property, where there is plenty of parking.

A little note about arrival: Please don't come into the studio early, as it can distract little ones during their sessions. We also ask that you bring no more than two accompanying adults, as things can get a little crowded when sessions are overlapping.

A VISIT TO THE LITTLE CHRISTMAS POST OFFICE

This year, your little one won't just be visiting a Christmas set. They'll be stepping into the role of a little North Pole postal worker!

Our Little Christmas Post Office is filled with letters, parcels, stamps and all the little details you'd expect to find in Santa's very own mailroom.

During their visit, they'll get to explore the post office, prepare their very own letter to Santa and make sure their Christmas wishes are safely on their way to the North Pole!

GETTING READY TO WRITE TO SANTA

As part of their letter, I'll be asking your little one two special questions:

1. What is your Christmas wish?

This doesn't have to be a present! It could be a wish for their family, something they'd love to happen or simply something that would make them happy.

2. What is something kind you've done for someone this year?

Perhaps they've helped a friend, shared a toy, made someone smile or done something thoughtful for someone they love.

You might like to have a little chat about these questions before arriving, so they have some ideas in mind. There's no need to prepare anything or have perfect answers. I'll gently guide them through it during the session.

And who knows? Santa might just have something special to say about their answers when his personalised reply arrives!

WHAT TO WEAR

Every session includes access to our carefully curated boutique wardrobe, with outfits selected especially to complement this year's setting.

We have wardrobe options for boys and girls aged approximately 3 months to 9 years. If your child is older, please bring them dressed in an outfit that complements the setting.

A LITTLE TIP FOR TODDLERS

For toddlers aged 1 to 2 years, or particularly shy little ones aged 2 to 3, I recommend arriving already dressed in your own chosen outfit.

We can try the studio wardrobe if they're happy to get changed, but sometimes this can take up a large part of their session. If you're unsure, bring them dressed and we can decide together when you arrive.

HOW TO PREPARE YOUR LITTLE ONE

A little preparation can make a big difference!

Before leaving home, please make sure your little one is reasonably photo-ready. We don't have time during sessions for hair styling, face washing, removing nail polish or changing bandages.

A few things to remember:

  • Make sure little faces and hands are clean.

  • Brush or style hair before arriving.

  • Bring any special accessories you'd love included.

  • Make sure little ones have had a snack and a drink.

If your child has favourite songs, funny words or little games that always get a giggle, please let me know beforehand. These can be incredibly helpful when capturing their personality!

DURING YOUR SESSION

I'll gently guide your little one through the experience, capturing their portraits, little interactions and all the details along the way.

You're welcome to take a few behind-the-scenes photos, but please stay outside the set area so I have room to move around and photograph from different angles.

If your child is confident and happy to explore independently, it's usually best for parents to stand back. If they're shy or need reassurance, I may ask you to stand nearby or help with a little encouragement.

Every child is different, and we'll work with whatever your little one brings on the day.

AFTER YOUR VISIT

Once your session is complete, I'll carefully select and edit your photographs to create a beautiful little story of their visit.

Your private online gallery will be delivered within four weeks of your session, and always before Christmas.

Alongside your digital photographs, your little one will receive a very special personalised reply from Santa, along with a fine art print from their session.

These little keepsakes will be carefully prepared and sent by courier in the lead up to Christmas, ready to arrive in your mailbox. There is also a pick up option of the letter too as you may not want ot wait for the courier.

Please make sure your postal address and any personal details provided for your Santa letter are correct.

A FINAL LITTLE NOTE

This year's sessions are designed to be a little more relaxed and centred around the experience itself.

Rather than rushing through lots of poses, we'll take our time capturing the little details, expressions and moments that make your child's visit special.

Some children will happily write their letters, others will be busy exploring the mailroom, and some might need a little help along the way. That's all part of the story.

I can't wait to welcome you to The Little Christmas Post Office and help your little one send their wishes all the way to the North Pole.

The Christmas mail is waiting!
