Tiny Human Perfection

The beauty is in the details

With my second pair of feet on board I have been doing a lot of thinking about how I am going to photograph him/her. This got me looking back to when Hazel was a newborn. I remember she had a little ginger mullet, her left ear was curled over from birth, she had a covering of blonde hair all over her shoulders and saggy armpits she had yet to grow into. She had soft little feet that had yet to touch the ground, tiny fair eyelashes and fluffy blonde eyebrows. I found I was too busy trying to get the perfect smiling photo of her in her best outfit and headband. I now realise I never celebrated her ‘newborness’ through photos.  Newborns are infinitely loving and unique. They are pure, soulful, honest and innocent. They know nothing of hate, heartache and sadness. Only love. This is what I want to capture in my own newborn and this is what I want to capture in my tiny clients.

Recently I have been going into my newborn sessions with a few things on my mind. How does mum and dad see their newborn in this very moment of ‘newness’, and how can I capture that for them? How can I translate into pictures how perfect every single detail of this tiny person is. This is my job as your story teller.

I want to create beautiful images that will make your heart want to leap out of your chest every time you look at them for years to come. I want to make sure those pure, honest, fleeting newborn moments will never be forgotten. I want to celebrate everything from the milk spots on the nose, the belly button cords, the rippling back rolls,  the hairy little shoulders and of course those perfectly round pot bellies!

Ask yourself how would you like your baby photographed? What do you want to remember forever and what do you want to feel everytime you look back at these photos?

I am here to help capture this. I am here to tell your tiny humans story.
